How to find us
Haus Schulenburg is located to the west of the city centre of Gera at the city forest in the Straße des Friedens 120. We are very easy to reach by car or public transport. A car park belonging to the house offers parking for up to 30 cars and can also be used by coaches. 2 car parks offer charging facilities for electric vehicles.
by public transport from Gera main station
– take tram line 1 to the right of the main entrance (approx. 250 m) in the direction of Heinrichstraße
– change to bus line 10 (Hammelburg), 11 (Weißig) or 17 (Frankenthal) at the central Heinrichstraße transfer point
– get off at the “Haus Schulenburg” stop, walk back 100 m
by public transport from Gera South Station
– take the “Heinrichstraße/Park der Jugend” exit
– cross the road (and tram tracks)
– get on bus number 10 (Hammelburg), 11 (Weißig) or 17 (Frankenthal)
– get off at the “Haus Schulenburg” stop, walk back 100 metres
by car from the A4 motorway from Dresden/Chemnitz
– take the “Gera-Leumnitz” exit in the direction of Gera (Bundesstraße 92)
– follow the tourist (brown) signs for “Haus Schulenburg”
– after crossing the “Weisse Elster” approx. 1 km turn right into the car park
or
– take the “Gera-Langenberg” exit in the direction of Zentrum/Schleiz (Bundesstraße 2)
– follow the tourist (brown) signs for “Haus Schulenburg”
– after crossing the “Weisse Elster”, turn right into the car park for approx. 1 km
by car from the A4 motorway from Frankfurt a. M./Erfurt
– at the “Hermsdorfer Kreuz” junction, turn onto the A9 towards Munich
– take the first exit “Hermsdorf Süd” and turn right
– follow the main road for approx. 15 km
– in Gera, turn left into the car park 200 m after the first set of traffic lights
by car from the A9 motorway from Berlin/Leipzig or Munich/Nuremberg
– take the “Hermsdorf Süd” exit and turn right
– follow the main road for approx. 15 km
