The former coach house, where Paul Schulenburg’s cars once stood (a Maybach and a Mercedes as a “second car”) is located right at the entrance to the property in the former outbuilding. The wall and floor panelling made of reduction fire bricks was uncovered again during the restoration and the defects that had developed over the decades were repaired. The entrance area/garage door was restored in accordance with the historical model – adapted to its current purpose – and the room was furnished with modern furniture in line with its current use.
Recently, the room has also been adorned with a 1st class railway compartment of the Belgian State Railway, which was designed by Henry van de Velde for the SNCB in 1935.
But see for yourself, we look forward to your visit.
